Accessories ~ The Extra Trimmings Make The Difference

Accessorizing your room is without a doubt the area of decorating that can be the most fun and make all the difference in the final look. Accessories are like the icing on a cake or a bow on a present, it absolutely makes a statement.

Accessorizing is also the opportunity to add the extra colour, textures, and mood to your room. For example, when you use warm earthy colours and have a throw lying on the couch, a fireplace lit, the aroma of fresh flowers, it “feels” cozy and welcoming. The accessories in a room can set the “feeling” or “mood”. Allow your accessories to help with the overall ambiance you are looking for.

The changing of seasons is also a way of re-inventing your room and your accessories will allow you to do so. A neutral foundation in the room with flooring and furnishings can easily be switched to a new season by changing the accessories. For some of us that are restless with the same old things all year long, this is a wonderful way of adding some new excitement in your same old space.

Keep an open mind and allow your own individual creativity to spring into action and show that in your personal accessorizing. This is the time when you want to have fun, fun, and more fun. It doesn’t have to be expensive, it just requires your personal energy. Enjoy!!
